The event provided the opportunity for 350 attendees to view many of UCLA's groundbreaking digital research projects, and meet the faculty and grad students involved in their creation. Their work continues, and this site will be used to provide updates on the progress of those efforts as well as new endeavors.

Welcome

UCLA is recognized as a national leader in the field of digital research. "Countries, Cultures, Communication: Digital Innovation at UCLA " is designed to highlight the innovative research that is being done here at UCLA utilizing digital technology. It will also serve as a catalyst for strengthening the UCLA community by encouraging collaboration between faculty from different departments and disciplines, who are engaged in research utilizing digital technology.

The event will take place in Perloff Hall on Thursday, May 10, from 4:00-8:00pm. There will be a brief program and then the floor will be open to exhibits from UCLA faculty and students. I hope that you will be able to join us for what is sure to be a fascinating exploration and celebration of the university’s many strengths in digital research.
